Got an unblocked drain? Here are some quick and easy methods which can rid you of your hardships.

Number 1- The plunger

The oldest trick in the book. This simple but easy method will leave your drain free of junk. And the best part is, you probably have one lying around. But I how do I use it?

We have found a nice video which will explain to you step by step, how to use a plunger with nothing but a little elbow grease.

Number2- Baking soda and vinegar

Another thing you probably have in your house. This creates a reaction which will attempt to break down any junk which is stuck in your drain. Here is the step by step process:

1. Pour a pot of boiling water down your drain

2. Pour half a cup of baking soda down

3. Let it sit for a minute or two

4. Pour 1 cup of vinegar followed by 1 cup of very hot water

5. Seal the reaction by placing a drain plug if you have one.

6. Finish off by pouring another pot of boiling water down

7. Enjoy your clear drain

Number 3 – purchase a drain cleaner

 

This is a quick and easy method which only requires a bottle of any good drain cleaner.

We recommend Jeyes fluid, One shot drain cleaner and caustic soda for the lighter junk.

Number 4 – The Manual Method

 

Find any long piece of equipment with grips. An uncoiled wire hanger is always a good option. Insert it through the plug hole with some kind of hook or grip at the bottom. Place into the drain and pull to remove and junk which may have got stuck.
